The History About Fiasco’s Steakhouse

In 1992 Fiasco’s Restaurant & Bar was an Italian Pizza & Pasta Restaurant with 2 locations and one was located in the Morrison Hotel. The restaurant was subleased and located at the back of the Hotel. The Room is now split up into two rooms, The Piano Lounge and what we now call The Original Fiasco’s Room. This is also where one of our signature dishes Louisiana Oyster Shooters originated from.

In 2002 MGW bought The Morrison Hotel and in 2003 Fireworks Steakhouse was opened. This was an open air restaurant and where the main restaurant stands today. The chefs at Fireworks created some delicious dishes and sides which we still have on our menu; this is where our Famous twice baked house potato. Two of our well known chefs being Mr Thu who created our signature 60 Second Calamari with blueberry dipping sauce and the Saigon dressing which is used on all of our garden salads and Zac who was our main grill chef who created all of our signature sauces especially the mushroom sauce which is a favourite to all our diners. To this day we still honour and use the same recipes created by these chefs.  Mr Thu was with the hotel for 25 Years and Zac was with the hotel for 15 Years, both have now retired, but we will always be grateful to their years of dedication to the hotel.

A few years later both restaurants were combined and renamed Fiasco’s Steakhouse to what we know of it today.

Just like the nearby Gabba Sporting Ground, “Fiasco’s Steakhouse” within the Morrison Hotel has been delighting its fans for decades with many memorable experiences. With a contemporary minimalist theme this is the way dining should be. And its mouth-watering steaks cooked to perfection and living up to the reputation as “Brisbane’s Best Steaks'', combined with authentic Italian wood fired pizzas, delicious pasta and not forgetting our famous entrees - Without pretension, without arrogance - here the food is the star of the game and it is truly given an opportunity to shine.

Fiasco's Steakhouse has been serving up the best steaks in Brisbane for longer than we can remember! With a selection of 8 different cuts, a dry aged option and a delicious chef suggested premium steak that changes regularly. Ask our staff about our Famous Mushroom Sauce and Twice Baked House Potato. They are delicious and the perfect sides with your steak.

Although we are definitely obsessed with steaks, our chefs here take great delight in ensuring everyone has a reason to come here with our delicious starters to share, our Authentic wood-fired oven pizza range and a huge selection of mains alternatives (including salads, pastas, vegetarian and vegan options plus a fresh fish of the day).

Open 7 days for lunch and dinner, Fiasco’s Steakhouse is the perfect restaurant for dinner for two, catch up with friends or even your next big function!

Open for lunch Monday to Thursday from 11:30am to 2:30pm, and for dinner 5:30pm - 9pm. Friday through to Sunday have all day dining available from 11:30am - 9:30pm.

 

The Lounge Bar

The Lounge Bar offers a casual dining 7 days a week, you can order from our main main menu or our bar menu (lunchtime only) it also has daily meal special throughout the week available only at the bar, also a choice of 22 beers on tap (over half being craft), 50 wines to select from and an extensive spirit and cocktail list from the classics to our delectable signature range.
